It’s time to give mountainwear the life it deserves

We’re Mammut.
Born in the mountains.
Made for the mountains.
We’re not a streetwear brand.
Never have been.
Never will be.
Yet, our gear is logging more hours in coffee shops than on crags. And, its hardest task is navigating the queue for a matcha latte, instead of the route for an epic climb.
We think it deserves more than that.
Our mission
We love everyone who chooses Mammut – and trust us, we’re all for a good fit check – but we also want to make sure our gear lives life to the fullest. Thriving at high altitudes. Finding adventure at every turn.
That’s why we’ve put together a new global team: Mammut Mountainwear Rescue. They’re putting a stop to misuse of Mammut gear, liberating it from below the treeline and giving it the life it deserves.

You see, there’s just so much that our mountainwear can do. It goes beyond providing protection during a brief shower or delivering stability for uneven paving slabs. Our gear has been developed with mountaineering experts, athletes, and product testers in the Swiss Alps and around the globe to ensure ultimate protection in even the toughest conditions. Yes, we’re talking everything from torrential rain and wind-whipped, freezing peaks at the highest elevations to unstable, rocky terrain and steep – nearly vertical – approaches. That’s why as self-confessed mountain lovers, we feel so passionately about making sure our gear experiences more problem-solving during sends than spreadsheets.

"The misuse of outdoor products as streetwear has been going on too long.... #NotaStreetwearBrand, we are taking corrective actions. Join us dear competitors."
But we’re on the case. Our Mammut Mountainwear Rescue Team has been on the streets, in locations around the globe, to retrieve Mammut gear from places of misuse. They’ve been confiscating jackets and bags, issuing notices to the offenders, and then shipping their gear back to the mountains. Of course, the perpetrators can get their mountainwear back – all they have to do is take to the mountains themselves.
Join us
And, now’s your chance to get involved! We’re looking for a Mountainwear Rescue Ranger to join the cause. Your role? To identify streetwear from actual mountainwear (not every puffer jacket is made for the mountains), document the evidence, and pass on your passion for the mountains – alongside an official warning (We’re serious about this...). It’s your opportunity to be part of our mission and help put mountainwear back where it belongs – in its home above the treeline.
"We’re hiring and this is a big one. Reporting directly to the CEO and on a critical mission to right a wrong. This has got to be one of the most exciting (and fun!) roles right now in the outdoor sports industry."
Ready to help mountainwear find its way home?
Stay tuned
So, beware, if you’re out on the streets in your mountainwear fit or sipping your matcha in your Mammut cap, you might find someone pointing you back to the mountains – politely, of course. Every piece of Mammut gear holds a part of our soul, meaning you owe it to your gear to experience life at high altitude – it’s literally made for it.
